Look guys, I think you are both correct, each about subtle aspects of what's occurring, but we need to really stop the bickering. The simple fact is that Jim had spoke of the process once the prototype had reached what Jim thought was critical mass. They knew what they had. They filed to protect it and knowing it would take time Jim began his focus on what he could do to move the company plan forward. He was not going to tell the investors to pull their money and come back later now that the cell is ready for the long, slow process of testing, finding a partner and then licensing once all was complete to include patent protection. Jim always spoke of the "solar system" and how they wanted to improve the entire system. He continually led towards the process of building the company as a vertical integrator and how they would shift focus on growing the installation segment (while the technology worked itself out to viability and commencement) to a profitable business. He said the goal was to be the only profitable solar integrator. He never hid anything from the investors. He even acknowledged recently that it was more challenging than he had anticipated and to not focus on the technology. He didn't say because it was dead. He just indicated it wasn't the focus at the current time. It could be because they figured the patent would come through already or that they would have had a manufacturing partner. We do know that they have moved the focus, but I believe they want investors to focus on growth and not dwell on what may be happening behind the scenes. Jim pretty much spelled it out for us...

“Acquiring SUNworks is a key part of our strategy going forward and gets us face to face with solar end-users every day,” said Jim Nelson, CEO of Solar3D. “We plan to keep our technology team focused on the commercialization of our breakthrough Solar3D Cell. However, the opportunity represented by SUNworks allows us to immediately participate in the fastest growing segment of the solar industry, while building a growing base of customers for our proprietary Solar3D Cell. The SUNworks team is seasoned and proven, and will be the cornerstone of a powerful supplier of solar systems. Building this line of business will be a key mission of the new Solar3D. Through organic growth and additional acquisitions, we plan to turn the solar systems part of our company into one of the fastest growing players in the industry.”

Nelson concluded, “One of the few things on which Wall Street and the federal government agree is that solar will be the fastest growing business in the world for years to come. Solar3D has management strength and access to capital resources that will enable us to build a substantial solar solutions business, while we continue to focus on the big prize — a proprietary Solar3D Cell. In this regard, we are following the First Solar model where proprietary technology and system installations are synergistically linked to maximize shareholder value.”

...and some of the investors simply have reached limits. I understand and appreciate all posters here and elsewhere, but don't post much anymore because the discussion regarding what the company is doing and or plans to do gets twisted for an immediate story as opposed to focusing on the big picture. I have seen many excited posters turn to negativity and I can understand what drives this short sighted viewpoint, but go back and research the company all over again. Don't re-read IHUB, but read everything Jim or the company has released. View all the video available. Really listen to what is said and or stated. And don't focus on only what you want to find. Jim has painted the picture. It's up to each investor to find the value in the art he is creating. If you want to invest, do so and if not find something more appealing to acquire. We used to agree on the potential value of the investment. Nothing has really changed except Jim has managed to beautifully grow the portion of the business he wanted, while the technology timeline plays out. Recognize what we all still possess.

Best to all and the Solar3D family.
