What is sadly happening is the dirty coal power companies are getting hit with emissions quality requirements that are very costly to put in place and these come from an arm of our government. Now the cost per KWH goes up to the end user which makes solar more appealing to the point where they see solar as a huge threat so therefore changing the rate structure in a fashion that makes solar not economic to purchase unless it can be done in a way to be off grid which is a bit premature today. YES I do think the government needs to get involved in regulating utility rate structures otherwise they will continue to circumvent solar growth and clean energy. Energy companies are going to have to get positively involved in solar power generation and start to shift gears at some point as their years are numbered when it comes to burning coal. This paradigm shift is in its infancy and it's going to get ugly before it gets better. Now the real question is how long will it take to recover from this recent ass whooping we all just took the past few days?
