Your not crazy. Most people have no idea what it is to have a public company, and the many many things that can happen, and when looking deep enough, The company actual has had revenues and real business activity, that's way more than many others that are listed and trading.
Everyone is a critic. People naturally would rather be negative than positive. No matter what they're talking about.
