Using Shares Borrowed from a Shareholders Account they initiate a Sell Order betting that the Share Price goes down. When they want to close their position they must buy Shares to Replace the Shares They Borrowed. Every Once in a While a Stock shoots up unexpectedly and they need to get out Fast because unlike a Share Buyer, there losses are considered Unlimited and they usually have to settle and cover their losses the same day with a Margin Call. In a Heavy Shorted Position as they try to ‘Cover” their Position, they must Compete with Many Other Buyers who are adding to their position along with New Money wanting Shares and the law of Supply and Demand kicks in and the Stock Price will rise Sharply. This Next Part can be Very Profitable and is Hard to do, but it can Be Done. If you can get a coordinated effort where Everyone gets together and puts in a high sell price on all their shares there will not be enough shares to go around and as the Shorts Must Cover as their Losses Are Considered Infinite, They Must Pay Whatever It Costs to exit their Position. I have personally been in several of these that have gone from Pennies to $15.00 to $20.00 a share. If everyone actually owns the amount of shares they say they do, and they Put in a High Sell Price and Keep Raising it and Hold off Selling until the Roof Completely Blows off than this Can be done with MJMJ.
