Just been thinking about what's happened over the last few weeks and have a few thoughts which I'll share...
We know there is one litigation case still to be formally settled and if other comments are accurate, this is the BIG one which could have a major impact on IFCRs ability to remain solvent or move towards bankruptcy.
We had HH saying just before the holidays that we might see the filings before Christmas (the fact that we didn't is not that important) but the fact that he used the word 'might' suggested that there was something going on which was impacting the filings.
People have already speculated that withholding the findings and not making IFCRs financial position available could have been a deliberate action to prevent the financials weakening any potential bargaining position (IFCRs making how much - then we want more from the settlement kind of reasoning)
The A/S was increased - could be to pay the settlement, yes it's more dilution but it clears the litigation and gets it off the balance sheet - that would be very useful if they wanted to attract corporate investors.
The website is released - not a massive thing but in the context of a company that could have been heading down the bankruptcy route, it would be a colossal waste of money. The fact that they've gone ahead and released the website, along with the other snippets of information makes me think the same as several other people have mentioned, that the litigation is either close to being settled or has been finalised.
Momentum - we've seen a number of PRs which have caused the share price to move up temporarily and then fall back to previous levels. I'm sure DF and HH are aware that a concerted stream of information will be needed to get the share price away from where it is so I personally expect to see more releases in the coming weeks.
