The project "400 kV interconnection line Albania - Kosovo"

The construction of "400 kV interconnection line Albania - Kosovo (Tirana - Pristina) is funded by KFW Frankfurt Am Main in the form of loan. The aim of the project to the interconnector is to improve security in the most cost efficient losses and smaller transmission and supply of electricity in Albania, fulfill the conditions for an integrated market for electricity in Southeast Europe and create capacity importing and exporting market and regional Kosovo.
Considering that the production of electricity in Albania dominance of hydropower and Kosovo from termoenergjia, this interconnector will help in balancing the market power of the two countries and will reduce the hydrological risk in Albania. Electricity market between the two countries and the region could be developed without limits from the transmission network.
The project, in addition to increasing the capacity of energy exchange and network reliability in the region, will enable optimal resource utilization common electricity to Kosovo and Albania given their complementary nature. Also the implementation of this project will ensure the supply of energy and enhance the viability of the Albanian Power System.

The "Ring 110 kV line South Albania"

The construction of the 110 kV ring line South Albania is funded by KFW Frankfurt Am Main in the form of loan. The aim of the project for the construction of "loops 110 kV Line of South Albania" is closing the ring for the mutual supply of Ersekë area - South and Vlora and Saranda area while significantly improving power settings in areas with tourism priority. This project is in full compliance with the Albanian Government development policy for the energy sector, especially in terms of increasing the transmission capacity of the country by increasing the security of supply and sustainability and strengthening the national electric power system.

World Bank Project "Power Sector Recovery"

Through financial assistance (soft loan) of $ 150 million awarded by the World Bank for the three companies with state capital in the sector is enabling the implementation of the project "Reviving Power Sector", which aims at reducing losses and increasing receipts OSHEE through investments in the system of measuring electricity in substations and guarantees to finance the purchase of electricity, realization of investments in the public power in enhancing the security of electricity supply, as well as increased financial liquidity between power system operators.

Project "Dam Safety Enhancement"

In 2014, rehabilitation works have started at the bottom of the Koman dam and canal exit. These activities enhance the safety of the dam on the lower side and will ensure the building of the plant by the inhibitor mosavancimi toward her. These works are projected to end in March 2016.
This project also provides for intervention in the electromechanical HPP Koman and unloading works HPP Vau Deja, Koman and Fierzë. It must be said that the EPC has a rate increase in recent years, both in equipment and in dealing with problems related to dam safety. This thanks to the cooperation and funding provided by the World Bank and other international institutions.
