Thanks for your posts petemantx and others. Although I said I would not post until the new year (might have been after Xmas but I'm old and forgetful) I have looked at the board from time to time. There have been thoughtful posts but they are few and far between. Clearly Anson has won, for now. I don't know why they were allowed to cover but maybe there was finally a truce as they realized that Glassware has huge possibilities.
My holdings will not be swayed by the board, as I believe I am invested in a great technology. Whether management can make it economical has yet to be determined, but I think it will gain traction. 400 plus Novarad locations which are starting to convert as I think they too were waiting for the Azure launch as it is more economical for them to upgrade through Azure. I don't know if we see some of their revenue next reported quarter or the quarter after but it will come.
The launch on Azure was December 10th and I believe that Microsoft often has a 30 day or so quiet period to work out any unforeseen issues that may arise. I know people will take that as a negative but I will be updating my iPad with 9.02 whatever that popped up last week and I might even be behind now on the latest Apple updates to better my iPad or fix something. Will Microsoft be actively promoting us? I will only believe that when I see an official news release from Microsoft or an executive mentioning us on CNBC.
My thoughts on the negative posters is that Anson is still covering and they are possibly going long. Hugo, maybe you can look through Anson's December report to shareholders when it comes out in a few weeks. If you can't get your hands on it I will see if my broker can get a copy to post here for you.
Tax loss selling ended yesterday so maybe some of the downward pressure is gone but only significant news will move this higher and it will probably need revenue projections.
2015 has been a terrible year for Sphere 3D shareholders but I think the company has achieved some incredible milestones. 2016 will be interesting to see how much traction the company can generate but I won't speculate on when as timelines come and go. Not making excuses as only I will determine when I add to or sell some or all of my position.
I have a job and that job is not posting all day so although I will look through I may not post for a while. I really don't care if stupoic or others pick this apart.
