Ever wonder why Oleg Figovsky chose Eastern Michigan University to give a lecture? I decided to try and find out...

For the heck of it, I searched Sherwin Williams and Eastern Michigan University and found this from 2012: http://www.emich.edu/president/communications/bor_reports/20120221.php
"Vijaykumar Mannari received a $16,600 award from the Michigan Initiative for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MIIE) for prototype development and testing related to Professor Mannari’s project, Polyurethane Dispersion Based on Soybean Oil (Soy-Puds) for High Bio-based Content Coatings. This proposal was developed in response to market segments identified by the commercial partner, Sherwin Williams."

So... go to this guy's Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/vijaymannari?trk=pub-pbmap and look to the right under "People also viewed" and you'll see multiple individuals with links to Sherwin Williams who went to Eastern Michigan University. Coincidence, or something more?

If that doesn't convince you... Go here: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:B6-2qQ8vefMJ:www.rusnor.org/upload/My/2015/article/figovsky/prize/Pol2014Engl.ppt+&cd=8&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us which appears to be a google-cached powerpoint of a Polymate presentation from around 2014. You'll see the following: "HNIPU products in potential clients’ testing - KLB, Sika, Samatec, MainCon (Germany), BEHR, Sherwin-Williams (USA), Carini (Italy)"
