Just sitting here at work drinking an iced cold white chocolate mocha. We have a hot one up here in the North West. I live in the small town of Canby -- About 30 minutes away from Portland, Oregon.

While I was in Starbucks this afternoon I asked the manager there if he was aware of their July 10th Mobile Marketing campaign ... And to my delight, he was.

After informing him that I was a shareholder in the company running the campaign, he was more than happy to fill me in with a lot good information.

He said that all of the regional managers met with corporate last week and were informed about the July 10th Mobile Marketing campaign. And from what he understood, Starbucks will be running select TV commercials and radio spots ... He wasn't sure whether Starbucks will be sending info pertaining to the campaign via email and/or mailing lists ... But he assumed they would.

He also said that his store is getting some new in-store displays this weekend, which he assumes are going to be for the Summer Persuit campaign. He also noted that Starbucks likes to do the majority of their promoting "in-store".

In addition, from his understanding ... The person opts into the mobile campaign by texting "Summer" to 66268. They will then receive their first clue to solve. Since the campaign is a giant scavenger hunt, the person will take a picture of the object/location pertaining to the answer to the clue. They will then send the picture to [e-mail]. Once their image recognition servers identify and confirm the picture is correct, the person will be sent their next clue.
