This in old post but it's often mentioned on some boards I'm on. You may be correct and it's not done anymore but I wonder.

As far as I'm concerned, if there's money to be made by Market Makers manipulating pps, is done. To be devil's advocate, 50% of all humans are dishonest and that certainly includes MMs.
