Too much weed.....

I am not sure that weed stocks are coming back.

As I do more and more research on this industry the more I see that the real profits are with the states and taxes. Growers and retailers are struggling and the price keeps falling to be competitive with others. It appears that the most profitable growers are growing "wild" with little or no cost of infrastructure and overhead. Good ole sunlight and natural water sources. It appears many of these "commercial" growers are struggling to show profits as they try to compete in the market. It also appears many in legal states are growing bud to supply themselves and friends. I read an article that right south of the California border that they stopped growing cannabis and started growing artichokes as it had better profits. Not even the Mexicans can make money due to oversupply.

It appears that people that used marijuana before it was legal are not lining up to buy it as legal customers and in fact there is a conversion rate of people that buy a few times and either grow themselves or buy on secondary market as they do not want to support the taxes and or save money. Many first time users find it to be an experience they try and do not enjoy or find they can not afford.

I know I have a few people that have tried legal marijuana that are long time smokers that these strains are way to potent and the highs way too intense for their liking.

Too many growers and not enough smokers.

I am a grown man today but there was a time in my life that marijuana had its place. I can not ever remember not being able to find at least 3 or 4 choices of what I wanted to be local in my mid sized town in middle america. From Mexican to Hawaiian to local grown it was here and was cheap. 25 years ago it was $60-$100 oz and today it is $100-150 oz and specialty California and Colorado high output blends are bringing $175-$200oz and again still today no shortage.

Medical and Niche maybe can see these high end start up state of the art facilities but for the recreation and casual medical user I just don't see it..and honestly do not think investors see it either.
