Zinnwald Lithium wins Saxony government endorsement for lithium project after robust PFS

Zinnwald Lithium PLC (LSE:ZNWD, OTC:ZNWLF) chief executive Anton du Plessis talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s recently published pre-feasibility study (PFS) for its Zinnwald Lithium Project, located in Saxony, Germany. The project is designed to supply battery-grade lithium hydroxide to the European market and has now received public backing from the Saxony government. Du Plessis outlined that the PFS demonstrates a scalable, long-life mining operation, starting with 18,000 tonnes per annum of lithium hydroxide and potentially scaling to 35,000 tonnes in a second phase. He stated, “We published our PFS on Monday that showed an economic project of significant scale… a globally significant project in terms of scale.” The economics were highlighted as robust, with a post-tax NPV of €2.20 billion and an internal rate of return of approximately 20%. The location of the project — 35km south of Dresden — positions it strategically at the heart of Germany and the EU, aligning with Europe’s push for regional supply chains of critical raw materials. Du Plessis also emphasised the importance of the local endorsement, noting, “To have the public endorsement, as we had, is extremely important to us.” The next step for the company is to optimise the project in preparation for a Definitive Feasibility Study, expected in 2026. ACG Metals CFO says hold hedge strategy is already paying off

ACG Metals Ltd chief financial officer Patrick Henze talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s recently announced gold hedging strategy and its importance during ACG’s transition phase from precious to base metals. Henze explained that while ACG Metals is ultimately targeting copper production from its Gediktepe mine in Turkey by 2026, the mine currently generates strong cash flow from gold and silver. The company has moved to hedge 50% of its gold production at US$2,875 per ounce through January 2026, helping secure revenue in a volatile pricing environment. He noted: “We are currently producing gold and silver, which is a perfect transition for us to become a copper producer in ’26… we can benefit and protect a bit the cash flows by hedging the gold.” The hedge program, executed with Alpha, involves no cash outlay and allows ACG to retain upside exposure above US$3,065 per ounce on the hedged portion. Henze emphasised this strategy helps ACG provide more certainty to bondholders and equity investors by de-risking key financial metrics for 2025. NanoViricides highlights broad-spectrum antiviral strategy and progress with lead drug candidate

NanoViricides Chief Financial Officer Meeta Vyas joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share updates on the company’s development of broad-spectrum antiviral therapeutics and its unique positioning amid global market uncertainty. Vyas emphasized that NanoViricides, headquartered in Shelton, Connecticut, conducts all of its research and development in-house, which insulates the company from international tariff fluctuations and supply chain disruptions. At the center of the company’s pipeline is NV-387, a broad-spectrum antiviral drug that differs from vaccines in both function and strategy. Rather than targeting specific viral strains, NV-387 works by mimicking the receptor sites used by over 90% of pathogenic viruses—including influenza, RSV, COVID-19, and smallpox. Vyas explained that this approach helps circumvent the problem of viral mutation, which often renders traditional vaccines less effective. “Regardless of how they mutate, they land on the same receptor site. So we copy the receptor site, which is invariant to mutation,” she said, underscoring the robustness of the NanoViricides platform. She also highlighted supportive regulatory developments in the U.S., noting that the new HHS administration has endorsed a more integrated approach to pandemic preparedness, which includes therapeutics like NV-387 as a key component. In light of recent USDA funding initiatives aimed at combating H5N1 avian flu, Vyas said the company is keen to explore applications of NV-387 in that space as well.
