I think it's a definitely worth the trade off. For example, I need a high CBD low THC strain. Try getting that anywhere but from a reliable, tested pharma grade source. In the meantime I have to accept what the street market can provide like every one else. But the truth is, not too many people actually know what it is there getting, including the growers. Like CGC said, after testing the genetics of seeds purchased, a lot of them were not as advertised. Not to mention the variety of unqualified and untested growing methods some grow ops use. Of course there's some excellent Mom and Pops growers out there... "Some". The majority are like mystery meat chefs.

I've been hospitalized for a lung infection because of "contaminated " bud, so yes, it's definitely worth it.
