I dont think it is that the liberals will be laggard on this file at all. Actually they are proving to be more passively aggressive in their first month than I thought they would be. One year does seem well within reach. There is just so much involved in writing legislation and passing bills that are not necessarily signs of being slow on the agenda, but just the nature of bureaucracy and government. A Lot of the BC bloggers are up in arms because its not legal yesterday! I just wonder if that is a tad impractical and unreasonable. Especially since YESTERDAY was the first sitting day of parliament.

I do think the debate will be ugly coming from Conservative Party Leader Rona Ambrose. Her handlers seem to giving her the same ole' Angry Rhetoric mode as a game plan. We can only hope she remains as bumbling throughout the process as before.

And Regardless, The liberals have a Majority and Canadians want this. The Liberals have committed to open parliament with meaningful debate on every issue, without omnibus bills. For these reason, I maintain the hypothesis that there will be no haste to legalization, instead a steady and progressive one.

The question is..." How many shares can one accumulate in the interim?"
