The way I understand it is that while you’re watching TV and you see something you like (a suit, wristwatch, a sleek convertible, cool pair of sunglasses……) you’ll be able to click it with your cell phone - powered by qode - and be able to do things as if you were doing so with the physical object in hand. Same analogy as with print adds bearing barcodes except now you have multiple channels airing 24/7. Media could get additional $s by selling this real time ‘opportunity’ to advertisers, and companies buying airtime could see additional sales through impulsive price shopping/buying. It could take the concept of infomercials to a new level.
Don’t remember a name for it and I don’t think a single word describing this has been invented yet. Any suggestions?
