I haven't been posting lately because I have had nothing of any consequence to add to the fray. After the "carnage" that was posted on the YMB regarding today's revealing of the court's decision about the Markman hearing decision I have a few thoughts I would like to share.
Primarily I would like to state as I have before that I am more convinced today that the science INSM has developed is revolutionary when it comes to IGF-1 therapy. It grinds me that a company like TRCA can try to litigate and buy their way to success in this arena. They have not researched or developed anything on their own. I can accept that fact because these things happen in the real world every day. Sometimes companies like TRCA prevail and but more often in the long run they don't.
We all must look at the longer time period when it comes to INSM. When Zake, Chem24, Newid, Nanook, and the others who are longer than me and more knowledgable that me about INSM invested here it was for the long haul and because they saw the potential of what INSM had developed. Today was not the first "setback" for INSM along the way but if you all have noticed they have prevailed through the years and have stayed the course and I'm sure they will continue to do so.
Hell, when I saw the first PRs early this morning I like you had that feeling in the pit of my stomach but quickly reiterated to myself that my DD and strategy for this company was in fact still on track. Even with a TRCA victory in court INSM will go on and eventually surpass TRCA. I believe INSM management will continue to counter TRCA's moves ie: hooking up with Dowpharm to enhance production of Iplex with a different process. That will negate any patent victory by TRCA, if that comes to pass in November.
Institutions like Lazard do not invest millions of dollars without extensively researching their investments. These companies do for a living what we do to be able to retire early or make enough to make us comfortable in our old age, which for some of us will be sooner than others. They still have the faith in INSM because they have the funds to gain the knowledge about these companies we cannot. I am certainly going to listen to the professionals before some anonymous poster on some message board. That along with the hours of DD I have done on INSM keep me here with the same rosy outlook I had a year ago.
Today after the dust settled from the screaming meemies on the YMB there were some very insightful posts by Abharploonta, Zake, and a few others. These are the people on the boards who have proven over the years that they are not just the the fly-by-nights but the real investors in INSM.
We and INSM will prevail in the end and we eventually see $20 share prices again. I have the time and faith in INSM to wait. Patience is the game.
