Awards provide merit to decision-making on new technologies. While being on the lists, passing tests gets you in the door, it is a big deal for an agency to switch to a new technology, even if it saves money. So, they are not the only company on that list; but they are well priced and they have won over some key decision makers. This along with many other factors leads to "trust" in the buy.
