Are you kidding me, or can you seriously not figure this out?

Let's say instead of $0.13 and $0.14, the real numbers are $0.134 and $0.135. Instead of a 7% spread, you have less than a 1% spread. Yet the numbers still round to $0.13 and $0.14.

Of course, a person shouldn't ignore the data because the digits don't exist. They can simply say that it's a difference of one cent. What they shouldn't do is claim that the spread is 7%, because the data does not have the granularity to support that, and if the real spread turns out to be <1%, they'd look like an idiot.

Is that clearer?
