Hi rocky18--- This Marki edition is not really the one I was "raving" about rocky18. I did not have the luxury of time this morning to go to the site and read the full article.. Tonight I see it is the edition that had fans standing on long lines at the SDCC and can still be a desired collectors item by many of his fans but the one that I was thinking of is "pure" Marki. However, I would not write this one off. If properly exposed via the internet directed at Comic book Fans and especially at Marki Fans I think we can boost sales of Marki's book as well as others. Someone has already suggested U tube. Great idea. I will try to put it on one of the sites with which I am familiar. If others do the same we can help our own cause. In a concerted effort if we can get 20,000. or much more of Marki Fans involved we could bring a respectable $# down to the bottom line. REDG management has extended Cyber Monday until Christmas so that is enough time to get things moving but we have to act fast.
As far as the number of comics in a 1000 pound shipment? I am not that good at that but I will take a guess. Figuring it is Giant Size and I would guess for round numbers weigh close to 6-8 oz. let us say 7 oz so I would say a bit over 2000 comic books. Tony might be a better person to answer that one. Tony could you please help on that.
Your idea of "tech savvy" people posting on Marki's Facebook page is a good one and I think if done discreetly without in anyway stepping on Marki's toes might work. Here again it is a sensitive area because we do not know how Marki would feel about it. My personal view is to go to other sites to make it known and leave it to Marki to take care of his own site.
To sum it up rocky18---it is not the Home Run I thought it was at first blush but could turn out to be a double or triple which ain't too bad either. Let us all chip in and try to help in the proper manner. Good Luck to you. Tlsmd
