Fact short position is extremely high risk, if you are shorting on Margin you are at even higher risk and borderline need to seek counseling, depending on how deep a position, and tax not an issue unless you are positioned short for a duration of time i.e. a quarter plus. Take for instance Apple....I shorted them at 130 for a period of less than 4 weeks...all liquid asset of mine and covered at 105...25 ps at a 10,000 share position. Then bought at $100 a share for a final sale at $119 ish back and forth. I have been buying and selling Apple since it was $17 a share prior to the 4 splits. Take Netflix I shorted them just before Blockbuster decided to close it's doors and sell out to Dish. I spend far too much time researching a handful of Companies and know them better than my own wife...I take full ownership into them. Not only that but I research and listen in on the competitors. The cues are there and with my returns....tax me..I don't feel it. So if you are asking me to post my upcoming positions online for the world it won't happen because I make extremely high risk moves with all of my research. I will not be liable for someone trying to do what I do when I do it. Best of luck trading to you and I hope that you can achieve your goals in life.
