I work in advertising. I've worked with the NFL. They are sticklers about their brand and the individual team brands under them. Unless an advertiser is willing to pony up some huge $$, they CANNOT use any NFL team brand logo/image/mention to sell anything. Papa John's pays to have Peyton in uniform. Nationwide pays to have Peyton in uniform. Nike decided their brand with 800 Tom Brady's warming up didn't need any NFL affiliation - and they were right.
