If the route is so lucrative how come Aeroflot doesn't fly it after 20+ years? And they have modern aircraft...mostly Airbus A330's for their international routes. With international routes they have reciprocity...meaning a US carrier can fly the route and a Russian airline can fly the route...that's how it works with negotiated international routes...Russia is not part of the EU open skies agreement so, you still have to make deals with the Russians and apparently there is no money on the JFK-LED route...GLTA
