Isn't that the whole point of the stock market. Each transaction is someone giving or taking someone else's money. And, that is why we like it. When we give money away, we tell ourselves that we learned some kernel of truth that will protect us the next time. When we get money, we tell ourselves that we learned some kernel of truth that will allow us to do the same thing next time.
