Hmm I don't think that would be a good idea. I don't know about USA laws but in Canada oweing that much and not paying would end up costing more if going to court is involved. Etrade has every right to force him to pay. Leans would be levelled against any property owned ,cars,any assets of value. Including the 401k.

With court and lawyer fees he would be looking At a lot more then 106k
