IMO: Microsoft is simply leading the way in figuring out how to keep talent within the company.

Plus, many people have Criticized how Microsoft hid $ behind options. Now that they are changing this and granting shares outright, that old argument is gone.

PLUS - As Microsoft begins rewarding shares to its employees, there is always the chance they will begin buying shares BACK.

All in all, this is a good thing!
