The graphics and other performance aspects of the processor is impressive but how can you take advantage of that performance without access to GB Ethernet, multiple storage devices, multiple monitors and large amounts of RAM?

A coworker is finally upgrading his Conroe 6600 system and he's going to get Samsung SSDs, 32 GB of RAM and likely a hefty video card. He does a lot of video transcoding and some gaming. I don't see how the iPad Pro makes use of the processing power. I do video transcoding on my Retina MacBook Pro and it works nicely. I've tried transcoding on the iPhone and the biggest headache is that there are extra transcoding phases that double and triple the amount of time that it takes to get your big videos from the phone to another platform.
