At this point in time, I do not believe GE will put all their eggs in PrintRite basket. Their plan has to already include traditional QA and NDE practices for certifying the fuel nozzles when production begins in the very near future. I also believe that GE will equip at least some of their production machines with PrintRite and fabricate nozzles with PrintRite running in parallel to further validate the capabilities of Printrite to themselves and to the regulators. Then, maybe in a year or so, they may decide to go all in with PrintRite as the primary QA/NDE process, but I can't see them starting production just relying on PrintRite.

PrintRite may be able to save them 25% on the fuel nozzle cost in the future, but that savings for the one part (x19) in the engine is going to be insignificant to their total cost of the engine. GE is not going to risk the startup of the project for some minimal cost savings at the very beginning. If PrintRite excels in production environment, then GE would equip all their machines and expand the use for more parts and go after the greater cost savings.
