I have to convince, this kind of savings are good for retirement days as well as for country itself. However, this kind of savings it is a sort of compulsory which much more suitable for socialist regime and not for democratic country like USA.
Here in Israel, in beginning, we were against this kind of savings but now it is looking normal because this kind of savings non risky and fully backed by Govt. For example, my savings went up by 8% during last 3 years.
Important here, it is how Govt will guaranty that later your saved money won't be used "TO COVER ASS OF STUPID POL***ANS WHICH DECIDED
TO USE PENSION FUNDS FOR THEIR FUTURISTIC IDEAS"
