Just so you know i wasnt talking about averaging down. That is a bad move.
I am talking about taking your shares mixing them with lower priced shares and selling them at a pps that breaks you even.
Keep doing it until your higher cost shares are gone and reload. It will take some time and can be done on very low volume.

As for your football example. I think that the point you are missing is that we chose to buy tickets to the boring pregame show because they are cheap and we get to watch the whole game

We could choose to wait outside but when the game starts the cheap tickets will be gone.

Complaining about the pregame show doesnt make much sense when you really only came here for the cheap tickets.
When the game begins you will have great seats and will remember why you bought the tickets in the first place
