A Well in my back yard this company has shallow wells about a mile from me alot of these wells are 25 to 30 years old and are held by production wells meaning the shallow wells hold the rights to the deep marcellus and utica gas there has been alot of swapping and buying and selling of these shallow well leases by other smaller ( non public) companies recently to get necessary acreage to drill deep eventually or when prices recover. Most of these shallow wells are very low production as compared to the deep wells. Also alot of smaller companies have got into the injection well business. There is alot of avenues out there to make profit other companies are doing it.
