So what? Hydrogen production is not cheap. Using carbon based molecules like natural gas (i.e. many H's per C), H2 is still really expensive. Electrolysis, which has been used since the dawn of electricity is really expensive. H2 from HyperSolar is non-existent meaning not commercially viable yet and it is unknown whether is can be made to BE VIABLE!
The points that I made far enough back to be lost on this board is the "irrational exuberance" associated with HyperSolar creating profit any time soon and therefore having much of a legitimate stock value. The technology, which I think is great, is NOT useful yet and it is unknown how much it will cost to get it there or if that is even possible. Huge debt, really limited resources, lack of big investor funds, lack of technology (catalyst) to produce > 1.7V, etc. all prohibit HYSR from producing H2 for profit for a long time. HYSR stock price is pure sentiment. Graphene actually works, expensive (and coming down all the time) or not! I don't know which of the companies working on this will emerge near the top but my SPECULATION is that graphene will get there way ahead of this because it is there already.
By the way, it has only been recently discovered that Graphene was permeable to protons (i.e. Hydrogen ions). It was always observer to be impenetrable to even gas molecules, which it is. But allowing protons through and preventing all molecules sets Graphene in a world of its own, expensive of not - more like "Magic Land". That remarkable feature is worth a bunch of money!!!!!
