I wonder whether Jones Day or some other firm did a trademark search on any of the 3 Marks in order to furnish an initial opinion to PPHM that the marks, individually, would escape a "rejection" by the TM examiner under the provisions of Section 2 of the Lanham Act?
The TM examiner could find one or more already registered marks with which PPHM's 3 marks might conflict.

Oppositions to registration of any of the 3 could be filed by a 3rd party, also prolonging or negating any quick registration.
