Then Essar has never been a threat as Essar has absolutely nothing other than a 32 million court judgement for the botched gas contract and 70million in overdue loans with a half built taconite plant with liens on it.

The Seeking Alpha articles down playing CLF's strength had this Essar looking like a realistic threat when Essar has a more realistic shot at BK than anything concerning any type of competition with Cliffs. They have nothing but debt and a dried up pipe dream that is coming to a close.

CLF is in a great position here where their rebates are enough to acquire the half built plant and finish it. The state of MN doesn't care who ends up with ownership and just wants the tax dollars back with also saving jobs from an economical standpoint.
