I noticed that at the time as well, so I sent an email to Ben asking clarification. My question was:

Concerning the statement “Our research team continues to work hard incorporating new gene splicing technologies to complement our previous work with PiggyBac and Zinc Fingers.”, does this mean that they did not use either of these methods when creating Dragon Silk?

Ben's response was:

Yes, my understanding is that it was a different method.

IMO, this is not necessarily a bad thing. As gene insertion technology improves, it would be foolish to stick with the outdated methods.
