I prefer to submit them in advance, if there is sufficient time between the release of Q3 results and the CC as some might be based on said results.

I don't believe we should sandbag management with oral questions that might, in some cases, call attention to "dirty laundry" without their having an opportunity to intelligently prepare a response. Obviously they have in the past had friends lob them oral softball questions that were expected and received a rehearsed answer.

However, as in the past I have had a tough question completely ignored both in the CC and in direct response I might consider asking one or two "on the air".
