I came across a document that gave a critique overview of America Makes concerning how well the organization is functioning in the United States. It spelled out that the America Makes entity is almost entirely funded by the DoD. The confusing and slow allocation of actual grant dollars that SGLB experienced was essentially a DoD lack of ability to execute on their end.

Also, I came across a Sept 30, 2015 America Makes document by the Director of Operations, Rob Gorham, which has slide 20 of 24 showing the initiative for commercializing an IPQA capability for metal printing, featuring SGLB as one of the cast members. GE Aviation is the lead element of the task group. The date of completion for the task group is March 2016. The document was locked though. I could not copy it.
