One answer is the last line of your post. The reality comes from individuals I have personally spoken to, and from snowbirds who frequent the southern states, and media inquiries concerning the knowledge that Americans have about Canada. The Northern border states are very familiar with Canadian culture, physical size of the country, government, health care ( for which I am very appreciative of...considering my advanced years ), and other aspects of such a vast land. Furthermore if such research were to be done....it would be found that the residents of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and the immediate states that border them, even know very little about their own Northern border states like Montana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Vermont, North Dakota, Maine, Idaho, etc. Regardless...have a great day. I have asked the "Gods" that run this site to remove me from it. I trust they will respect my request.
