Can anyone explain to me today's drop to me like I'm 5 years of age? We've had nothing but good news the past four days, and our earnings are expected to be our best yet. Why would we dip? Who would have an interest in driving it down? Who would want to sell now?

I would say it's one of two things: (1) people who bought at $40 and wanted a quick buck, (2) regular investors who know from experience that this stock always tanks on the day it's record earnings are announced (wtf). However, if group 1 you would have sold yesterday when it hit $55, and if group 2 then you know tomorrow regret stock should peak so you should sell then.

I just don't get it. And the fact this hit all airlines (us the least - how unusually kind), suggests it's neither group 1 or 2 because the dip isn't specific to AAL. Thoughts?
