Why Premiere is really dead

read this off another site, but I remember this is actually true:

Randy Ubillos prototyped and created Premiere. After 5 versions or so, he wanted to re-create it from scratch to make it easier to use and more powerful. As I heard the story, the Adoby suits said "No way! We can't expect our customers to change the way they use the program." So Randy took off, developed FCP at Macromedia (as a x-plat app, btw) but the project was sold to Apple when the VC's put their foot down on MACRs then huge product library.

So really, Adobe killed off Premiere when they let Randy go!
