QDV w/Cadmium @ less than .01 gram per tv
Nanoco w/cfqd @ .5 gram per tv
Nanosys est @ 3 grams per tv

*1 The quantity of cadmium contained in QD Vision’s optical component used in this TV is less than 0.01 grams per television unit, which is approximately 1/500 of the cadmium contained in a standard single AA nickel cadmium battery.

.....Cadmium 1/500 of amount in a AA battery: think there will continue to be exemptions

17:42 We understand that Dow’s customer agreements are now being structured in terms of price per TV film, rather than the volume of quantum dots itself. We have accordingly modified our model to reflect this. Pricing is currently expected to be $75 per film per TV and is expected to decline at about $5 per year. Given that a large screen TV requires about 0.5g of quantum dots, this translates to an effective price in the $100K to $150k per Kg. sinbad74

Nanosys
1 US ton = 907,185 grams
25 x 907,185 = 22,679,625

22,279,625 / 6,000,000 = 3.7799375 grams
...article does say 6 million plus, so maybe only 3 grams

.....maybe we'll see how QDX & tQDs stack up in the next Q coming soon

Looking Forward
