I look at it this way....fantastic cost effective if it works and if the trails are going well, gets the various agency approvals and goes to market you can bet it will be by a major player in the market and the company IP will be purchased or massive royalties will be paid for the exclusive rights worldwide.

Major players will wait for the trails to be over and if it goes as planned the bidding wars will begin (that is if a deal is already in place)

The big boys would rather wait and secretly fund these types of projects...why? It keeps it as quiet as possible. You can bet that this technology is on everyone's radar and there are companies that are already working on their versions. It is all about how strong the patents are. If strong then the company is sitting pretty and can license it per country, per geographic region or worldwide and rake in the cash if all goes well.

This is not a sure thing however....
