CGJCF was temporarily halted because: Nord Gold (based in Russia, main ticker on LSE, London Exchange ? ) made another (un-successful) acquisition offer for Carlisle Goldfields.
However, Alamos Gold (AGI, NYSE) already has a working J/V with Carlisle. (AGI had 25% stake in CGJCF)
Alamos Gold knows a good ( under-valued) Au resource, so AGI will now acquire 100% of CGJCF.
Looks like (pending approval) one CGJCF share will convert to about one tenth of one share of AGI (NYSE).
See latest NR from AGI for more details.
Bonus for new AGI shareholders : AGI pays a (small) cash dividend, which may increase over the years.
notes: AGI's market cap is aboot $1.2 billion, Nord Gold is just a bit smaller.
AGI will now continue to develop Carlisle's quality gold properties, near Lynn Lake, Manitoba, Canada.
(Great White Frozen North Trivia: Lynn Lake Airport is "Most Northerly airport in Manitoba, that's connected by highway to the rest of the world."
btw, in Old Spanish, Los Alamos might translate to "the Cottonwoods, as in: a grove of Cottonwood Trees near a spring" .... in modern language, it might translate to "the Poplars. "
