I got a response from Stephanie Diaz:

Dear XXX,

AZ is given an opportunity to review our press releases. The review process is much longer for releases that contain quotes from AZ or their stock symbol. As the Annual Shareholder Meeting is taking place today, the decision was made to issue the release without a quote and ticker symbol so that it could be issued today and management can discuss the deal at the meeting. Otherwise we would have had to wait more than a week to issue the news.

Hi Ms. Diaz,
I am an investor in PPHM (for about 20 years) and am perplexed reading this morning’s PR. Why wasn’t Astrazeneca’s stock symbol listed in the PR?
