I'm in the camp of not being in a hurry for a partnership too early when waiting longer will give the company more money in the deal.

Brilacidin approval for any indication will likely be a gateway to a licensing agreement with a medical device company. That in itself will likely fund anything grants don't cover. Too much value is lost if the company takes early offers when they don't need to.
