That's probably because the versions you've got of those programs don't support XP.

First do a Windows Update, (from the Tools menu of the browser) and then (if that didn't help) go to the web sites of those programs looking for XP compatible versions.

(They shouldn't charge you for them but some do...)

You can also find cheap/free alternative programs to do the same thing. http://www.tucows.com is a place to start the search...

PS: some people would even get cracked versions of those programs using Kazaa or winMX...
