My point is / was if any deals / contracts etc were made with BK while he was on board, there may be advice not to talk to anyone until the investigation or whatever is going on, finishes.

I am speculating. I haven't a clue but I know I would be hesitant and not cooperative with people who had agreements made through or with BK until all the facts are out there and make sure no more damage was done. And as several have pointed out, there are people on board / advisors that are verse in this sort of situation.
