If you believe Dan and the company are on the up and up then you have to believe they would NEVER give out insider info.
That would mean there is no support for the belief of a BoD being onboard since the rumor is based on insider infor (supposedly).

The only posts I remember that mention a BOD being onboard are yours and Moojer's. Most posters have said that there is a group of potential investors or managers who are performing extensive DD. Is that what you mean by rumor?
