That's just BS. Most of the most successful scammers are those who never INTEND to fail, they just don't care as long as they get theirs.

I want money. So I tell people there is gold on my land waiting to be picked up, I get report after report showing that people have picked up gold off of their land. I hire experts who say there may be gold on my land. I make a website showing how rich people can be if we hit gold. I get people to invest and I pay myself a big salary to go dig up my land. We find indications that there could be gold in just another few feet, and nothing that says that can't happen. So we get more money to dig deeper and I sell some of my shares. We may hit a gold vein any day...I hope we hit a gold vein any day. SOON.....NEXT week we will be rich.

Pretty soon people stop giving me their money and we can't dig any more even though we are almost there. The venture goes BK and I file the papers from my private jet sighing..."If only they would stayed for NEXT week." I am not a crook...there could have been gold if they didn't give up.

So lets start a marijuana growing company on my land.....
