SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif., June 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Seychelle Environmental Technologies Inc. (Pink Sheets: SYEV - News) today announced two strategic alliances that will streamline operations, reduce manufacturing costs and extend its distribution reach in India and China. Seychelle has entered a manufacturing and distribution agreement with ABMS Health Care, Pvt. Ltd. of India where the company has purchased the rights to sell, manufacture and distribute Seychelle's industry-leading water filtration products in Asia. In a separate move, Seychelle also has established a joint venture with Young Sheng Plastic Company to manufacture products and parts for the U.S., China and Asia.

According to the United States/Asia Environmental Partnership, "Water availability and quality are paramount issues in India with urban demand for water exceeding supply by as much as 30 percent," (May 17, 2006). Water-borne diseases are prevalent, including diarrhea, which kills 500,000 children each year.

By partnering with ABMS, Seychelle can provide an urgently needed solution to the safe-drinking water crisis in India and surrounding regions. "Seychelle is dedicated to providing users around the world with an affordable water filtration system that can prevent unnecessary waterborne illness and death," said Carl Palmer, founder, president and chief executive officer of Seychelle Environmental Technologies Inc. ABMS will initially focus its efforts on three of Seychelle's portable water filtration products. While ABMS will manufacture 90 percent of the finished product locally, the company will purchase Seychelle filters, which contain proprietary, EPA-approved (Reg. #71426) Iodinated Resin disinfectant media that kills virus and bacteria. ABMS also will market Seychelle's newly acquired Redi-Chlor chlorine disinfectant tablets (EPA Reg. #71426).

Although ABMS began working with Seychelle in 2005 under a distribution agreement, the decision to expand the relationship to manufacturing was one of practicality. ABMS can sell throughout India as well as other countries, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan, where Seychelle does not have exclusivity. By manufacturing the bottles and parts in-country, cost-efficiencies can be maximized, making the products more affordable to the average consumer.

In another important strategic move, Seychelle has entered into a joint venture with Young Sheng Plastic Company, P.R., China. The new venture will be named Huanghua Seychelle Plastic Co. LTD, and will involve a cooperative production effort to manufacture Seychelle products and parts for the U.S., China and Asian markets.

According the Palmer, "The new company will allow Seychelle to more closely design, develop, tool and produce its products under more stringent quality control and management supervision -- and help the company better prepare itself to meet the burgeoning worldwide need for pure filtered water."
