Cover price for comics are $3.99

Diamond takes 60% which leaves $1.596 per unit.

At 1 million that makes receivable amount of 1.596 million

Now let's say printing and shipping is around $0.20 for a standard 32 page book (which I can safely assume will be because he mentioned mini series)

Next for artwork let's say there are standard 20 pages of art and cover you have roughly $20k in costs there.

So that leaves profit of $1.476 million

Then if he sells ads (which should be a no brainer) at even $20CPM X 10 pages of ads that's another $200k of revenue.

He said mini series which are usually 4-6 issues in length.

That's $6.704 to over $10 million!

So yeah, I think there's SOME profit.
